The stunning 9 hole course, situated in the heart of the Powys countryside between Welshpool and Newtown, presents some interesting challenges coupled with spectacular scenery from every part of the course.

Amongst its most notable features are the proximity to the historic Montgomery Canal and the magnificent River Severn.

With superb contoured greens, undulating fairways, beautiful lakes and strategically placed bunkers making it a truly wonderful golfing experience for players of all levels.

Clubhouse & Restuarant

One of Lakeside's greatest assets is the beautiful modern clubhouse and restaurant set in 60 acres of lush, rolling and scenic countryside.

From the decked patio area with panoramic views of the golf course, to the relaxed, friendly and informal atmosphere of the lounge, bar and Lakeside Restaurant, encourages our guest to return time and again.

Penllwyn Lodges

As featured in television's "Wish You Were Here" programme, Penllwyn Lodges, just 3 miles from Montgomery, is the setting for a superb holiday.

This completely unspoilt area offers you the beauty of the Shropshire borders to the east and the rugged splendour of the Welsh mountains, the Dovey valley and Cardigan Bay to the west. Nearby, the River Severn is available for game and course fishing.

Latest News

As you are possibly aware Lakeside Golf Course will be closed to all members completely on Saturday 19th June 2010 due to a family wedding. In addition to this the 9th hole will be out of action from Tuesday 15th June to Wednesday 23rd June in order to accomodate a marquee which will be used during the wedding celebrations.
